It‘s a dark, heartbreaking and powerful intergenerational family saga which was quite intense and sometimes depressing to listen to.

In a series of shifting narratives people who are connected both directly and indirectly with the victim - police, family and friends, tell their stories leading up to that fateful night.

Sometimes hard to listen to but the characters, mainly women are painted so well, it kept me following the whole story. You have to be in the right mood to read or listen to the book, but it’s really worth it to do so.
