Adult Summer Reading Challenge 2018/19

Relax and have fun with your reading this summer

By participating you can stretch yourself in your reading with some of these challenge ideas, and most importantly have fun!

Participating in the Summer Reading Challenge is also a good way to model reading to the young people in your life - especially if they're doing the (NOW CLOSED) Children's Summer Reading Challenge.

How it works:

The rules are simple:

  • Complete 10 out of the 15 challenges.
  • To enter the prize draw return your completed challenge card to the library by Thursday 28 February, 2019.
  • To be eligible for the prize draw you must be over the age of 16.

Signing up for the Summer Reading Challenge Newsletter completes your first challenge, and you will receive challenge updates and plenty of fresh reading ideas.

Don’t forget to sign up for the other library newsletters to find out what’s new in all your favourite genres.

How to get started:
  • The challenge starts on Saturday 1 December, 2018 and closes on Thursday 28 February, 2019 which is the final day to complete challenges and go in the draw to win prizes.
  • You can pick up a challenge card at Rangiora, Kaiapoi or Oxford library during opening hours.
