Our library subscribes to several Ebsco databases which draw on content from newspapers, magazines, professional journals and reference works. Ebsco is especially useful for in-depth, current and specialist content which we are unable to provide in our print collection. It can be an excellent resource for professional development.
Searching You can search across all databases at once using the eResources section of our catalogue. Ebsco You will need to log in with your library card and PIN to view content. You can refine and sort your search results if necessary. You can print or email articles of value to you, or if you create an Ebsco account you can save them for future reference. You can also search by choosing the most appropriate Ebsco database and searching within it.
Journal alerts If there is a journal of regular interest to you, you can set up an email alert for each new issue as it appears. You will first need to log in with your library card and PIN, then set up an Ebsco login before you can create an alert. Within Ebsco, click on ‘Sign in’ or ‘Login to Ebsco’ to create an account. Note your login and password for future reference. Find the publication you want either by clicking the journal title link in an article record, or by searching under Publications. You should be able to see a list of all years of issues available. Under ‘Share’ on this page you will find the option to create an email alert.
