Access amazing digital resources while you are at home!

Visit our eLibrary page and find out about our range of eResources for children and adults.

eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, Movies, StoryBox Library, New Zealand Geographic and more!

Many of these resources require your library card and pin number to access them.

If you don't know your pin number, email us at library@wmk.govt.nz or send us a private Facebook message, with your full name and library card number and we can reset it for you.

If you live in the Waimakariri District and are not currently a library member, you can join the library here and get a temporary membership. If you need any help joining, email or message us and we can help you join so you can access these resources.



BorrowBox - Access more than  14.000 eAudio and eBook titles. Download the app from the Apple or Google Play store, point it towards Waimakariri Libraries and login using your library card barcode and 4 digit pin. If you are reading eBooks on your laptop you will need to install Adobe Digital Editions.

Libby by Overdrive - If you fancy relaxing with some magazines in between cold-cuts and trifle then have a look at the magazine colletion on Overdrive/Libby. Download the app from Apple or Google Play store, point it towards Waimakariri Libraries and login using your library card barcode and 4 digit pin.

Story Box Library - A selection of picture books to watch and listen to for little ones.

Kanopy -  Stream inspiring films and documentaries anytime, anywhere with Kanopy. You will need to log in with your library card and PIN and then create an account. Then you will have acces to over 10,000 titles, with new content being added every month there is something for everyone, kids included.

New Zealand Geographic - The online version of the magazine NZ Geographic. Articles, video, and images from two decades. Articles from 1989, plus over 160 hours natural history film documentation.

Pressreader - is a great way to keep up with the current news as you browse over 7000 titles from 100 countries in 56 languages. You will need your library card and PIN to get started.

Mango Languages - Access to over 70 languages including Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese), French, Italian and Japanese. It also contains lessons for people wanting to learn English. Simply log in using your Waimakariri library barcode and PIN, then create a Mango profile to save your progress.
