Waimakariri Libraries upgrade public computers

Published: 07-May-2019

We are excited to announce that our public access computers, provided by the Aotearoa People’s Network Kaharoa (APNK) are being replaced!

Coming very soon, Google Chromebooks will be rolled out across Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Oxford Libraries.

Google Chromebooks are computers which are fast, easy to use, and designed for use with the internet.

Along with replacing the computers, we will also have new printers, scanners and a revamped booking system.

Library staff are happy to assist while you become accustomed to the new equipment – please just ask if you need help.

The swapover of equipment will mean there will be periods where public computer access is not available.  However we will still have free WIFI, so you can connect using your own device.

Tuesday 7th May - Rangiora Library
There will be no public computer access from 9am-5pm

Thursday 9th May – Kaiapoi Library
There will be no public computer access from 9am – 2pm

Friday 10th May – Oxford Library
There will be no public computer access from 9am – 12pm
