The North Canterbury Model Railway Club will have Thomas and Friends model railway at the Rangiora Library for children to operate during the July School holidays.

Children will get a certificate to show they are a qualified model train driver. There will be a small charge of 50 cents to operate Thomas and Friends each time.

Children will also have the opportunity to learn how to make a railway diorama, and all parts will be supplied. A full kitset will cost only $8.00. There will be a demonstration layout to show how to put a layout together, and parents are invited to take part.

The North Canterbury Model Railway Club will also have something new for kids to enjoy, a life size model train called Kiwi, for photo opportunities, and there will be small charge for pictures taken, that will be donated to the Child Cancer Foundation.

The trains will operate at the Rangiora Library, Saturday 7 July to Friday 13 July, available during library opening hours.
