Join Ciarán Fox for a poetry open mic, and a night of fun filled banter on National Poetry Day.

Join Ciarán Fox, host of the Catalyst Poetry Night, New Zealand’s longest running poetry open mic, for a night of poetry, and fun filled banter on National Poetry Day.

There will be an opportunity to share your favourite poem in the open mic.

Ciarán Fox has been helping organise literary arts journal Catalyst, a bit, since 2003 while maintaining a solid, part-time career as a bon vivant. He has toured and performed with the Lyttelton Poets including the Outspoken Festival (Wanaka), Newtown Festival (Wellington) and Festival of Lights (Lyttelton). He hosts the monthly Catalyst poetry open mics, plus infamous live poetry and reality TV mash-up Survivor: Poetry for WORD Christchurch where he has appeared alongside international spoken word artists such as Anis Mojgani and Ivan Coyote.

Catalyst is a literary arts journal edited by Doc Drumheller and published by The Republic of Oma Rāpeti Press. The journal is now enjoying its fifteenth  year of publishing, and has gained a reputation as being one the most daring and innovative journals in New Zealand.
