  • Prepare before you come into the library or start searching online.
  • Going to the library....make sure that you have your homework assignment, pen and paper.

  • Do you need anything printed or scanned? You will need some money.

Time

  • When is your project due?
  • Don't leave it to the last minute - you will get stressed and not be able to do a great project
  • Reference books are available while the library is open - these can not be taken home from the library

Brainstorm

  • Get together with your friends and share ideas
  • Grandparents are a great help and will love helping you
  • Remember if you are not sure...then ask for help

Make a mind map

  • Get all your ideas together
  • Sort them into groups - children, animals, country, food
  • Put these together and ask an adult or older brother or sister to have a look with you

Write a question

  • Use your mind map and make up some questions
  • How was it built?
  • Who built it?
  • What were the people like?
  • What kind of food did they eat?

  • Search words help you find information on the internet

  • Online databases

  • If you are not sure ask one of the librarians
