Make an ALL ABOUT ME! Book.

Kids love talking about themselves - their likes, their dislikes, and details about everything inbetween. Spark their interest in writing with a mini-book about their favourite subject...themselves!

What you need:

  • Construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Crayons, markers, or other art supplies

children's all about me book cover

What you do:

  • Fold some pieces of paper in half, to make a book
  • Talk to your child about their favourite things
  • Now they can start illustrating their book!
  • Write something about each topic - either you write it, or if your child is older, get them to write about themselves

Here are some ideas, to get you started.

My name is...

A portrait of me...

childrens portrait drawing

This is my family...

children's drawing of their family

My favourite animal is...

My favourite toy is...

When I grow up I want to be...

My favourite food is...

My favourite colour is...

These are my handprints - dip child's hand in paint

Once all the pages have been completed, either staple the book toether, or punch two holes in the spine and thread a ribbon through it, to tie it all together.
