Encyclopedias and general homework sites

 Encyclopedias are a great place to start looking for information on a huge range of topics.  The best one for really young children is the World Book Online – Kids edition. If it's New Zealand information you want, try Te Ara, NZ’s online encyclopedia, or some of the other web links listed here.

•  Discovering Collection - select from popular topics or do your own subject or keyword search

• AnyQuestions - online librarians to help guide you to the best resources
• Many Answers - search for answers to popular homework questions
• Te Ara: the encyclopedia of New Zealand - lots of information, plus pictures, sounds and video clips
• Schools@Look4 - help for parents and students across many subjects – still being developed but has easy to use information
• WicKed! - homework help from the NZ Ministry of Education
