Setting up a Journal Alert
Besides being able to read a lot of magazines online, you can set up an email alert to automatically notify you each time a new issue of a selected magazine title is available.
To set up a journal alert:
There are a couple of ways to find a journal:
1. If you have found an article, the journal title will be showing on the Source line.
2. Go to EBSCOhost Web General News and Magazines for thousands of full-text newspapers and general and specialist magazines. Click on the title list in the database of your choice. To find a journal, enter the title in the Browse field, or use the A-Z links to browse through the list of titles. A few of the many choices available in the Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre include New Zealand Management, NZ Marketing Magazine, North & South, Heritage New Zealand, Accounting Research Journal, New Scientist ... and many more.

Click on the journal title, then from the Publication Details screen, click the Alert/Save/Share link, and then click the Email Alert link.

Sign in to your Ebsco account (or create an account if you don't already have one). Note: This is different from your library account login.

The Journal Alert window will appear, with the Subject and Email from address automatically filled in. Enter your email address in the Email to box, set your alert settings and click Save Alert.
You will receive a confirmation email, and will now receive an email whenever a new issue of that publication is available to view.
